Unable to catch the Southlake Carroll Dragons football games on Fridays this fall? KWRD 100.7 FM/The Word is now broadcasting all 2011 Dragons Football games, allowing everyone the chance to cheer on their favorite football team.
These broadcasts mark the first time a Texas high school football team will be broadcast on a 100,000-watt FM station in a major market. The Word begins broadcasting one hour before kickoff, and games can also be heard on The Word’s website. Play-by-play commentary will be provided by Chick Kelly, while Kelly Milligan will act as the color analyst and Travis Smith as the sideline reporter.
If Friday was any indication, the Dragons’ 2011 football season will be one to remember. Southlake Carroll defeated Copperas Cove 38-31 on Friday night. Last year, Copperas Cove beat the Dragons 35-14, and last year’s loss makes this year’s victory even sweeter.
