This year’s Relay for Life in Southlake is now set for Friday, May 11th, and the community could not be more excited. The annual fundraiser’s theme is iRelay, which was developed to help bring each participating member closer to the cause which they are supporting.
As each individual assembles a team or joins an existing team this year, iRelay reminds us how closely we are affected by cancer and why we continue to fight it. Sharing your personal stories and listening to those of others will make everyone’s experience much more personal.
Team captains should go ahead and register their teams online as soon as possible. The first team captain’s meeting will be held this Thursday, January 19th, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.at the old Carroll Middle School library. Each team should have at least one member there so everyone is on the same page for this year’s event.
With your help and support, this year’s Relay for Life Southlake can be the best one yet! Each one of us has surely been affected by cancer in one way or another, whether it has been personally or through a loved one, so let’s come together and continue to fight for a cure!
